The Group Project Manager is part of the Real Estate department and reports to the Group Construction Manager. The main focus of this role is to act as initial interim Country Construction Manager for new countries and support Group led construction initiatives across all countries.
What you will do on a daily basis
For new countries, on a daily basis, find constructors, suppliers, vendors, and engage with business areas like procurement, finance and IT. You will be busy leading or supporting the technical inspections for the (pilot) stores in new countries to ensure accurate cost / timing estimations as input for store selection process. Also ensuring appropriate preparation, planning and execution of (re) construction projects for realisation of the (pilot) stores. Selection and training of new country staff in the values, culture, processes and procedures of Action. Supporting at Group and Country level the creation and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives relating to capex, processes and maintenance.
What characterizes a Group Real Estate Project Manager at Action?
The person we are looking for is a senior project manager experienced in development of commercial (retail) buildings and shops internationally. The person that would fit the role has studies related to construction and real estate, is fluent in English and at least one more European language and is a specialist in terms of setting up business in new countries. In terms of personality, we are looking for an ambitious, driven, PM who is able to lead, coordinate and be hands on ‘on site” per each country and project, who is stress resistant and is able to think ahead to plan next steps for the expansion.
- High education in construction and or real estate;
- 5 years of relevant work experience, (preferably within retail)
- Experienced in development of commercial buildings and shops internationally.
- Excellent command of the English and medium level of Dutch language in word and writing;
