As marketing coordinator, you will strengthen our young and enthusiastic marketing team. You will work on a variety of marketing projects while working closely with your fellow coordinator colleagues. You will provide support to the marketing manager and together you will make the Action brand a strong one within the market.



Millions of customers visit Action weekly. We communicate with our customers in a variety of ways, and we are working with various agencies. However, we are well on our way to one, new and contemporary, look & feel. As marketing coordinator, you will be required to make an important strategic contribution in order to support our marketing manager.  You will work closely with the departments Purchasing, Commercial Development and other important stakeholders within Action. 

You will be responsible for your own projects within marketing management. You will also be required to help with the development and implementation of creative campaigns and brand strategies. Additionally, you must be flexible to work on (adhoc) marketing projects assigned by, among others, the Marketing Director.  You take on small but important activities on your own. 

Within your own territory, you make a valuable contribution to innovative marketing projects, including in the areas of quality, programming and LfL sales development. You will support the development of our brand identity and media strategy and will act as first contact person for our media, advertising and brand agencies. You will support various commercial initiatives from the departments Purchasing and Commercial Development and will ensure for the timely planning and qualitative implementation of associated marketing activities. 


The marketing coordinator at Action understands commerce and the sales funnel, the most important success indicator within Retail. You work according to the agile method. You are pro-active and flexible on a variety of projects. You are a strong communicator and easily make contact with different types of personalities. You are ambitious and stand behind what you do. You are energetic, take initiative and greatly involved. Additionally, you show high levels of efficiency and organisational skills, with constant attention to detail.


  • Graduated from a higher professional education institution in the area of marketing, brand development or communications
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a commercial marketing position within retail
  • Proven experience in a supportive marketing role and a valuable contribution at a strategic marketing level.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbal and written
